Volunteering at Escuela Eugene Coste School
Parental involvement is a vital component of school programs. At Eugene Coste School, we encourage parents to become involved in our Volunteer Program, School Council and/or Enrichment Society. Through volunteer assistance, we are able to enhance the educational opportunities for our students as certain activities or field trips would not be possible without the active participation of our volunteers. We recognize the value and encourage the use of volunteers in our school.
All parents are welcome to volunteer. Generally volunteers assist teachers by providing service on a long-term or short-term basis. Some examples of support service activities are our Student Reading Program, preparing materials for class projects, assisting on field trips, assisting in sports and special events, working in the library and helping with fund-raising events.
You may visit the CBE website for more information on volunteering, including the required registration and Police Information Check. (Please note, guest speakers or visitors to the school, and parents/guardians assisting their own child only are not considered to be volunteers and do not require a police information check.)
